Spring Activities Lake Tahoe

April and May mark the transition from skiing to enjoying the beach at Lake Tahoe. Springtime at Lake Tahoe also offers many events that range from nature adventure to outrageous fun. Northstar, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows combine spring skiing with music at the foot of the hill. Below are a few of my other favorite activities around the lake.

Sunset Snowshoe Tour

Watch the sun cast a purple alpenglow onto the Sierra while trekking through Tahoe’s peaceful forest. Experience the solitude of winter at this special time of day while learning local natural and human history. Offered every Friday, December-April or by custom arrangement. Cost: $70 per person. Cushing Crossing

Village at Squaw Valley

May 4th

The 29th Annual Cushing Crossing is one of the area's favorite events of the spring season. This original pond skimming event has become a spring resort ritual. Every year a celebrity judging panel and amazing emcee's come together for this spectacle. Filled with big spills and laughable thrills this is one spring event that you don't want to miss. Event kicks off at 1pm and awards follow at the pond. Read More

Glendi Greek Festival

Mourelatos Resort
May 10th 6-10pm

The owners of the Mourelatos Resort share their Greek heritage with locals and visitors at their resort at the edge of Lake Tahoe.
