Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival

September 20-22^nd 2019 marks the 34^th year that the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association presents this 3 day festival. Hosted at Northstar California, guests will enjoy chef showdowns, wine tasting and mountaintop dining. This festival features a wonderful sampling of the best Northern California offers. The region's finest chefs and vitners will delight you with beer, wine and eclectic culinary adventures.

Friday Sunset Dinner

The Opening Night Dinner kicks off with a Friday cocktail pairing that will be enjoyed at sunset on the mountain. Saturday offers seminars, tastings and the Wine and Brew Walk through the Gourmet Marketplace. Hike through Northstar during lunch and enjoy the 10 Barrel Progressive Picnic. Enjoy different courses with craft beers on a hike with a professional trail guide.

Progressive Picnic and Hike

Festival events include a progressive picnic through the Lake Tahoe National Forest and a two-tiered gondola ride that takes you to farm-to-table food and cocktail dinner. Mixology and Grand Tasting and Culinary Competition will also be featured at this event.

Vertical Wine Tasting

The vertical tasting is presented by Hartwell Estate Vineyards. This offers guests a range of vintages, all from a single small-lot wine as you head further up the mountain. Guest can ride the gondola and chairlifts after each sampling. This 3 day event culminates with Sunday’s Grand Tasting.

“From the views to the vendors, every aspect of this event is designed to enhance the experience of food, wine and spirits, paired with the majesty of North Lake Tahoe’s ‘secret season,’” said Amber Burke, Director of Marketing at North Lake Tahoe. “This is the first year we’ve moved the event from Labor Day weekend to late in September to capture the true essence of fall, and give travelers time to plan their escape among a busy travel season.”

Vintner and Chef Competitions

More than 20 top chefs will compete for the Best Marriage of Food and Beverage. There will also be Best Food and People’s Choice Award.

This is an event not to be missed and an excellent way to kick off the Autumn season – Lake Tahoe style.
